Easy Crockpot Recipes With Seafood

Unfortunately, it is widely believed that crockpots are only useful for cooking beef casseroles and chicken stews but this is not the case and, just to prove it, here are two delicious crockpot seafood recipes, which you might like to try.

The first recipe is for shrimp alfredo and the alfredo sauce cooks to perfection in the crockpot for four to six hours. At the end of the cooking time you need to add the shrimp and cook the pasta on the stove, and then simply combine everything. This is a really easy recipe and since you are using frozen cooked shrimp, you just need to warm them up rather than cook anything.

Recipe for Shrimp Alfredo

Seafood does not require much cooking and if you have cooked shrimp on the stove you will know that as soon as it is pink it is done, even though this might only take a minute or two. Use frozen cooked shrimp for this seafood alfredo dish for the best results.

What you will need:

1 lb frozen cooked shrimp 1/2 teaspoon salt 3/4 cup shredded parmesan 3/4 cup shredded mozzarella 1/4 teaspoon black pepper 2 cups milk 1 teaspoon herbs de Provence 1 stick butter 2 tablespoons flour 3 chopped cloves garlic

How to make it:

Melt the butter in a small pan, then whisk in the flour until you have a paste-like consistency. Transfer the mixture to the crockpot and stir in the herbs, cheese, garlic, and milk. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours. Add the seafood and cook on high for 15 minutes.

Cook the pasta on the stove and cook the mixture on high for another 15 minutes so everything is ready at the same time. Drain the cooked pasta and toss it with the alfredo sauce. Serve immediately with extra parmesan for sprinkling.

Recipe for Salmon Casserole with Potatoes

This is another easy recipe for the slow cooker and you can use canned salmon. The salmon is combined with potatoes, mushroom soup, and onion and the nutmeg adds a gourmet flavor to the dish. This is a great recipe to make if you are out working all day because when you get home it will be ready to eat.

What you will need:

1 lb canned salmon 3 tablespoons flour 4 peeled, thinly sliced potatoes 1/4 cup water 10 3/4 oz can cream of mushroom soup 1 chopped onion Salt, black pepper and nutmeg

How to make it:
