The Versatile Kitchen Tool - Crockpot Cooking

Cooking with a crockpot can make it easy to have dinner waiting when you come home. By filling up the crockpot before you leave for work or school in the morning, you can be greeted by the delicious scent of dinner when you walk in the door at the end of the day.

Tips for Using Your Crockpot

There are a few tips that will help your crockpot meals turn out perfect every time. First, never overfill the crockpot. Make sure when you are filling it up that the pot is between half and three-quarters full. Too full, and your food will not cook enough. If the pot is too empty, the food will cook too quickly and you will come home to a dinner that is overdone.

If you are using fresh vegetables, put them on the bottom. They will take longer to cook than your meat. This is a bit hard to believe, but it is true. If you are using frozen vegetables, place them on top of your meat, since they will cook faster.

You may want to try browning your meat before placing it in the crockpot. This renders fat and caramelizes the natural sugars in the meat, creating a delicious flavor. If you wish to deglaze the pan afterwards with broth, water, or wine, you can add these tasty drippings to your crockpot so you can enjoy them later. Removing extra fat and skin will also help your meat cook better.

Tender ingredients like tomatoes, mushrooms, and dairy products should be added the last 30 to 45 minutes of cooking. Make sure the temperature is on low for dairy products to keep them from curdling. If you are adding thickeners like cornstarch, it should be added in the last hour with the temperature on high to activate their thickening qualities. Rice and pasta should be added during the last 45 minutes so they do not get too mushy.

While cooking, try not to remove the lid. If you need to add more ingredients, add them all at once if possible to reduce losing heat from the crockpot. Every time you lift the lid, add another half hour to your cooking time.

Meals You Can Make in the Crockpot

These easy tips can help make your crockpot useful and versatile. You can make almost anything in the crockpot. Pulled pork with barbecue sauce is easy in the crockpot, as is Asian chicken. Stew and chili are old standbys for the crockpot, as is chicken soup. Vegetable dishes like creamed corn with cream cheese is delicious for a side dish.

Did you know you could even bake in your crockpot? It is true! Cakes, breads, and other baked desserts are simple to make in your crockpot. All you need is an insert pan. Crockpot cookery is easy and versatile. It can serve you well several nights a week.

In today's fast past busy lifestyle a crockpot can help give you back some of your free time and make dinner time much more enjoyable for the working cook of the family. The crockpot is also the perfect tool for summertime cooking as it gets you out of the hot kitchen and out enjoying the extra free time you will find.

Kitchen - save time and money Cooker

Image : http://www.flickr.com

The two most important benefits of crockpot cooking are:

Save time
Save money

Save time

slow cooking is synonymous with time saving for me. Each of us has different life stages, and this season is no doubt in my crockpot stage - perhaps out of desperation. Whatever the stage, but we can cook crockpot always an advantage.

Here's the scenario: It is 05:00 and, finally, help with homeworkwith two of his sons, then returns the third son of the piano - ready to begin the task - and a question on algebra. Football practice starts in exactly one hour. And not to mention that you spit three loads of laundry on the bed, folded and ready. The phone rings - a reminder to bring snacks to soccer practice, it's your turn. Children are hungry, the husband at home in thirty minutes. What do you call this? "Honey, you take them home In & Outelse? "Or simply take a salad to go with your chicken cacciatore is that slow cooking in your slow cooker and all juicy. It 'really is my life and I am one of the last scenario to work for wider dissemination.

You may remember crockpot again when you have a child - Barry Manilow, mood rings, banana and places - all have been very popular in 1970. Crockpot are making a comeback, and the trailer Vegas, Barry Manilow. The mainThe matter is here that we are all going retro, but rather helps that life is full and we are trying to manage working time. Five clock may do more, so that, before preparing food during the night and the night set, in containers or chop and dice the first part of the day may be the most practical and beneficial.

Money-Saver

This type of cooking can save on multiple levels. As I said, if you have organized your pizza in a pan and cook all day - younot to mention the temptation to 5:00 Dominos. The food is more expensive, especially for a family and if it becomes a habit. Dish is cooked in a longer process in the oven or grill, and because the meat very tender, even with cheaper cuts of meat. Therefore, it is real potential to reduce our food bill.

In summer it is hot - especially where I live in the desert - as an excuse not to heat the house a good idea. EnergyInvoices are definitely interested.

There are a lot of slow cooker cookbooks out there, healthy and delicious recipes with your family. integration of new kitchen in our lives may be one of the first and easiest of many steps to reach the organization and balance in our lives.

czech kitchen - easy to prepare Czech Steak and Pepper Stew

Image : http://www.flickr.com

czech cuisine is one of the most friendly and easy to prepare everywhere. As an added bonus is the largest czech cuisine is easy on the wallet. This is one of our favorite recipes for steak and peppers, cooked in a crock pot ...

This is my Dad's recipe, is ready for years. She got the recipe from her mother, who was above all the story czech. The same recipe is called pepper steak czech, which is a bit 'misleading, because it is actually more of a stew, especially ifprepared in the crock pot.

There are usually mixed in the bowl of egg noodles with onion and cumin, but you can serve with whatever you want. Mashed potatoes are another ideal companion and rice also works well.

Here's what you need to prepare this hearty, delicious stew:

2 pounds tri tip roast, cut into stew size to your needs
1 medium onion, chopped
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 small cloves garlic, sliced or chopped
1 cup canned broth
4Ground red pepper strips 1 / 4 inch cut
2 teaspoons Hungarian paprika
8 oz can tomato

Once you have all the ingredients together, this dish is very easy to prepare. First, heat the vegetable oil in a saucepan. The meat and add the chopped onion halfway through the process of gilding.

Transfer meat and onions in a crock pot. Add garlic, broth, pepper and garlic. You can add a cup of water to the mixture if it seems you need moreLiquid.

Set low and cook for four hours. Then add the peppers and simmer for 01:30. We then add the pepper so you do not get soggy in the crock pot, but there's nothing wrong with their point of departure when you are away from home needs.

Thus, the cooking time, 05:30. The meat is fork tender! Serve on one (or with) the supplement of your choice and enjoy!

A note of pepper. Be sure to use sweet Hungarian paprikaand Spanish. There is nothing wrong with the Spanish team, but give a different flavor. Hungarian paprika is sweet and works well with pepper and braised.

Also, feel free to substitute other peppers for paprika. We want the bells, because good-hearted, sweet and not crush the flesh. But if you want a little 'heat, a Hungarian wax pepper is a good choice.
